Buying Cars: define the specification

For Cars, prepare the intended use, specifications, quantity, packaging and destination before comparing quotations. Key checks for this product family include Vehicle approval, charging interfaces, aftersales and transport. Confirm applicability for the exact model and use case.

Supply-chain stages to verify

• Frames, powertrains, batteries and controllers
• Vehicle assembly, system matching and commissioning
• Vehicle tests, destination approval and dispatch preparation

Agree on sample revisions, inspection scope, packaging, delivery milestones and fees. Check that supplier documents cover the intended product and destination; a regional listing is not a guarantee of an individual supplier’s credentials or capacity.
